NICU Support

Founded by NICU parents for NICU parents

We’ve been there ourselves and for hundreds of other NICU families. Together with our partners, volunteers, and donors, we support and guide parents and families through this difficult and stressful time with an experienced hand.

  • NICU Funds

We’ve created a fund at East Jefferson General Hospital and Children’s Hospital to cover basic needs throughout a NICU stay, including transportation, food, and lodging. A large portion of contributions go to replenishing these funds.

  • Little Libraries

NICUs around the city are stocked by Saul’s Light with books so that parents can read to and bond with their babies during their stay.

  • Advocacy

Our focus is on advocating for inclusive healthcare that supports all NICU and bereaved families. We work to bridge gaps in access and provide essential resources to families from all backgrounds, promoting a more equitable healthcare system.

  • Mental Support

For many families, the opportunity to talk to someone familiar with the NICU provides great comfort. We offer monthly support group meetings and Peer Mentoring programs.

  • Education

Through personalized resources, expert-led workshops, and practical advice, we aim to empower parents to navigate their NICU journey with confidence.

NICU Funds

If you are in need of support or funds, please notify us of your needs.

If you are looking to donate to help families in need you can donate now.

Reading to babies in the NICU is a powerful way to bond and support their development, even in the earliest stages of life. The sound of a parent’s voice can provide comfort, reduce stress, and create a sense of security for these tiny, fragile fighters.

Little Libraries

Saul’s Light Little Libraries are stationed at every one of our hospital partners around the city. Simply borrow a book and read to your little one. Learn more about donating books to stock out Little Libraries.
